Software affected: Solid Edge ST9 Maintenance Packs 4 and 5
Fix Status: The issue is being looked into by Siemens and should be fixed shortly.
Situation: When inside an assembly ERA environment, changing the display configuration may cause Solid Edge to hang – it appears to crash and freeze up, but that is not the case. Solid Edge is hanging on that command and will complete it after a couple minutes of waiting. Do not close the program and lose your work.
There is a workaround to prevent this from happening. If you change the pathfinder from transparent to opaque, this will prevent the hang up.
