Background:
In this engaging session, our esteemed Application Engineer, Keith Schultz will be looking at NX’s new, ON-Machine Probing module. OMP is an interactive and adaptive module which will allow you to simply use machine cycles for probing on machine tools, built directly into the CAM program.
Agenda:
- This is a NEW feature in NX2306. This new interface allows user to select faces or features, then select a suggested operation based on their CNC controller.
- OMP is meant to help manufacturers monitor their processes and detect variations. Program logic can then adapt process parameters and verify the results before the part comes off the machine.
- We will look at the new interface and how to use it.
- We will also walk you through the steps to install the extensions for post-processing and simulation.
