Step 1: Open your assembly file. To create the exploded view, go to the Tools menu and in the Environs tab select ERA.
Step 2: Explode the assembly, either automatically or manually.
Step 3: In the Configurations tab select Configurations.
Step 4: Name and save this new display configuration.
Step 5: Select Close ERA. Save the assembly.
Step 6: Create a drawing of the assembly.
Step 7: Choose your template and make sure Run Drawing View Creation wizard is checked.
Step 8: In the drawing view creation wizard select the display configuration that you just created. Click finish and place the drawing view.
You now have a view that you can copy and paste into another file or document (like this “How to”)
