User asked if there was a way to create an open conical shape from a flat pattern in Solid Edge similar to the one shown below.

This is not possible in Solid Edge. The only way to “bend” a flat pattern is by using the Bend command shown below. This command can be found in the Sheet Metal Group.

To make an open conical shape in Solid Edge use the Loft command to loft between two variable sized sketches of circles.
